Course Outline

The CAC Learning Centre, offers Indigenous Awareness Training in a comprehensive two-part series. Each six-hour session is designed to support agencies, corporations, governmental departments and contractors. Aboriginal Awareness I and II provide participants with historical information and critically informed details required to strengthen service delivery practices, and build mutually constructive relationships with valued clients, customers and stakeholders. Built upon the principles and learning objectives gained from Indigenous Awareness I, course participants will explore prior learning. Leaders, managers and frontline staff will continue to develop core competencies to cultivate relationships and capacities specific to indigenous relations.
The Indigenous Awareness I course is a prerequisite for Indigenous Awareness II.
